The Gift Of Giving

Some people have joined us by donating $1 a week.
Others do that… and still want to do more.

And that got us thinking.

Not everything has to be ongoing. Sometimes you just want to do something decent, right now, and be done with it. Or it’s a birthday, Christmas, or one of those “what do I even get them?” moments for someone who doesn’t really need anything.

This gives you another option.

If you choose to make a one-off donation of $50 or more, it can become a Gift of Giving.

Instead of buying something physical, you’re giving something meaningful in someone else’s name — helping fund real healthcare for a Kiwi child.

We’ll send you a simple virtual card letting them know a donation has been made on their behalf. You can pass it on as a gift, or just keep it to yourself. Either way, it’s not symbolic — it has gone toward actual care.

For this, we’ve chosen to lean toward helping kids.

Not because we only fund children — we don’t. Kiwis Together supports people of all ages. But when it comes to gifting, most people naturally connect with helping a child.

Right now, there are kids in front of us who need help just to do the basics. Learning to use their hands, getting dressed, building confidence, or simply moving more freely. These are the kinds of things that shape a child’s future, if they can get the right support early.

If you’d like, you can choose the type of support your donation leans toward: Just put it in the reference

– Physical therapies
– Specialist appointments & assessments
– Everyday supports & equipment
– Ongoing or follow-up care
– Holistic or alternative support

These aren’t strict categories — just a way to guide where your donation might help most. We’ll always make sure it goes where it’s genuinely needed.

We don’t choose providers. We don’t recommend treatments. And we don’t pay individuals.

Every application is checked to make sure the need is not publicly funded and has been supported by a registered professional. Once approved, funds are paid directly to the provider or supplier. That’s how we keep this fair, transparent, and focused on actual care.

We will email your virtual card to you. From there, it’s completely up to you what you do with it.

The Power of One Dollar

When making your donation, please put “GIFT” in the reference.
Then flick us a quick email at gift@kiwistogether.org.nz with your name (or the recipient’s name) and where you’d like the card sent.
