Meet Arlo

Meet Arlo — a bright, smiley 15-month-old whose journey so far has been full of courage.

Arlo was born with complex developmental and neurological challenges that make everyday milestones — things like feeding, sitting, crawling and standing — incredibly difficult. He now receives nutrition through a feeding tube, has cerebral palsy affecting both movement and muscle tone, and experiences seizures. Yet despite it all, he continues to beam with determination and joy.

Every day brings therapy, appointments and hours of work to help his little body learn what most of us take for granted. Recently, his family discovered a specialist therapy programme now available in Rotorua. It’s shown amazing results for children like Arlo — but it comes with a big cost: around $10,000 for three weeks, and ongoing sessions will be needed to keep his progress building.

When they heard the price, they didn’t hesitate. “We can’t not try,” they said. Because that’s what love does — it keeps fighting for hope.

At 𝗞𝗶𝘄𝗶𝘀 𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿, we believe no Kiwi family should face that journey alone. We’re here to help crowdfund the small bits that make a huge difference — just $1 𝖺 𝗐𝖾𝖾𝗄, or even a 𝗈𝗇𝖾-𝗈𝖿𝖿 𝖽𝗈𝗇𝖺𝗍𝗂𝗈𝗇, helps Arlo and so many others across Aotearoa get the support they need.

Donation details are on our website link above — and you can visit our Facebook page to see the many causes Kiwis have already helped make possible.
