Sean’s Journey
Sean has always been a fighter. Despite losing his leg to cancer, he tackled life head-on with a *no limits, can-do* attitude—skiing, hiking, playing water polo, and inspiring countless people along the way. He won awards, gave back to the community, and never let anything hold him back.
But three years ago, everything changed. Severe migraines, excruciating nerve pain, and fibromyalgia left him trapped in a dark room, unable to work, study, or even enjoy the simple things in life. The unstoppable young man who once defied the odds was now isolated, in constant pain, and struggling just to get through each day.
Doctors recommended Emgality, a medication that could bring relief, but at $350 a month, it was out of reach. Sean, ever selfless, didn’t want to be a burden. But thanks to the incredible generosity of you legends, Kiwis Together was able to fund an initial three-month supply late last year, backed up by another 3 month supply just last week —and the results have been life-changing!
Almost immediately, the migraines stopped. The nerve pain eased. Sean could eat, sleep, and, most importantly, live again. He’s started volunteering, reconnecting with the world, and taking steps toward regaining his strength.
This is what happens when we come together. A small act of kindness has given Sean back his hope, his purpose, and his future.
From Jenn "THANK YOU, THANK YOU, from a tired MUM and Sean, who is striving to live life normally"
Let’s keep the support going—because everyone deserves to get out there and enjoy life as we know it
